Rock The Cure

Health & Wellness is one of BJF's four core program areas. Diabetes affects more than 20 million adults and children in the U.S., up to 7 percent of the population. In Georgia Diabetes is a common disease. In 2004, 486,132 adults in Georgia, 7.5% of the adult population, had diagnosed diabetes (Statistics provided by JDRF). One of our most generous supporters of the Brian Jordan Foundation Sai Reddy of Raving Brands; has recently accepted a leadership role with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Junior Board (young professionals, ages 22-35).

You are invited to Rock the Cure, their first fundraising event to be held at SweetWater Brewing Company on Saturday, June 9 (7:00 – 10:00 pm). Rock the Cure will feature, Almost Blue, Creative Loafing’s Band of the Year. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. The first 200 guests through the door will receive a limited edition SweetWater/JDRF glass. Brewery tours will be available. Rock the Cure will benefit the Georgia Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. We wish the JDRF Junior Board well in their very worthy efforts. Please vist JDRF website for more informatin on their programs for youth and young adults.

A special thank you to our favorite ball team!

A very special thank you to Conner and his Alpharetta baseball team for their generous gift to the foundation, in honor of their fantastic and dedicated coach Joe Moon owner of Moon & Associates. Mr. Moon works tireless hours coaching this talented team, and always finds time to lend his hands and expertise to BJF as well. Conner's team recently won the acclaimed All-Star series in their respective league. Joe Moon is also husband to one of our most dedicated and caring volunteers Kelley Moon of Enterprise rent-a-car; who also serves as Vice Chair of the Brian Jordan Foundation Board of Trustees. The gift from these young budding philanthopists was credited toward the purchase of a new foundation camera used to document the community events BJF has invested in.

A big warm thank you goes out to our very own All-Stars!
