2007 MVP Tournament Pre-Game Reception

LOCATION: Atlanta Braves Chophouse
The Atlanta Braves Chophouse overlooks center field, directly above the Braves bullpen. Parking is FREE in the Green Lot, Hank Aaron Drive & Fulton Street.
Cost: $50.00 Donation to MVP provides admittance for two
Proceeds are restricted for direct suppot to student athletes attending the 2007 MVP tournament.
The 2007 MVP/Brian Jordan Foundation Summer Tournament will provide an opportunity for high school baseball players to showcase their individual skills in preparation for collegiate scholarship opportunities and possible careers in professional baseball.

The Mission of Mentoring Viable Prospects (MVP) is to provide opportunities and exposure for young athletes persuing a college education. The objective is to positively mentor each player in the areas of character development, social and emotional growth, academic achievement and physical well being. Mentoring Viable Prospects has set a foundation for success on and off the field. MVP is a public charity, classified as a 501c3 with the Internal Revenue Service, and is governed by a volunteer board of Directors.

BJF Internship Program congratulates Summer Intern
BJ's Scholars Program congratulates our graduate
Congratulations for a job well done for our 2002 BJ's Scholar recipient Crystal Randolph! Crystal graduated with a Bachelor's degree, and is now pursuing her Master's Degree in social work at Howard University in Washington, DC.
The BJ's Scholar's Program began in 1998, and provides college scholarships to low-wealth, and disadvantaged high school seniors. The award provides a total of $16,000 for four years of academic study.

Brian Jordan Foundation at the Hank Stewart White Linen Affair
The Brian Jordan Foundation participated in the Hank Stewart White Linen Affair on July 14, 2007. Hank Stewart, a poet and orator, is a motivational speaker and inspirational poet. Stewart is a member of the acclaimed Five Men On A Stool, a contemporary R&B/Jazz ensemble accompanied by a touch of the spoken word. The group consists of four talented individuals with an All-Star rhythm section representing the "fifth" man. The HSWLA included a "Literary Cafe" in which notable author's shared their latest books and participated in a panel discussion for attendees. Brian Jordan shared his book "I Told You I Can Play", and signed books for BJF supporters.
Mr. Jordan and his children were also included in a wonderful book published in honor of fathers entitled "I am a Father, Celebrating African-American Fathers" by David Manuel. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to support The Stewart Foundation focusing on leadership, community Service and education.

The Brian Jordan Foundation supports Camp Twin Lakes! Tune into Sports Radio 790 the Zone (AM790) tomorrow to hear Brian Jordan share his support for CTL for a one hour exclusive interview, July 12, for the second annual radiothon benefiting Camp Twin Lakes! The radio station will be broadcasting from Camp Twin Lakes all day (from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.), interviewing campers, staff, parents, and other friends of Camp Twin Lakes and asking listeners to phone in with their pledges.
